US-based Kenyan artist Foreman, real name Francis Odhiambo is currently in hospital, battling the global pandemic, Covid-19. Foreman is an acclaimed composer and performing artist. Msanii Foreman is also a seasoned human rights activist, spearheading Anti-FGM and Gender-based violence crusades.
The new-generation artist, since 2018, lives in Phoenix, Arizona – USA. He’s a medical technician (med-tech), working with a facility handling long-care ailments like dementia, diabetes, et al – common with elderly persons.
He is known for various hits, most recently Number One and Roho Yangu featuring the dynamic Faith Stan. Just a fortnight ago, the artist released a Covid-19 themed track – Sanitize – in an endeavor to pass a solidarity message to his fans, especially in Kenya.
In a phone conversation with Citizen Radio presenter Mzazi Willy M. Tuva on Mambo Mseto, Foreman intimates feeling unwell since last Tuesday. Initially, he had Malaria-like symptoms and presented self to several testing labs. He was subsequently treated with malaria-varied medication.
However, a patient in his facility he’d been attending to was diagnosed with Covid-19 on Monday, this week. That when it dawned – he might have the virus! Following tests (done for all the facility staff), turned positive.
Msanii Foreman is undergoing treatment in isolation. His huge luck is to not have any pre-existing illness, otherwise things could have been worse.
